Picking A Heating and Cooling Company

Reading customer reviews online can be a great way to quickly gather direct experiences from people who have worked with hvac companies in Wichita. Online reviews are quickly becoming the go-to method to seek out all types of businesses, whether it be a place to eat, to get your hair cut, or to help determine who to hire for hvac maintenance or an upgraded furnace and air conditioner.

In this article, we will encourage prospective customers to look at a variety of factors when searching for the best hvac companies in Wichita. We encourage prospective customers to consider a variety of factors when searching for an hvac company.

Trustworthy Customer Reviews

While reading Google reviews be certain to evaluate the content within the customer reviews and the source of the customer review instead of merely glancing at the star rating system.

Reviews Can Be Misleading

Most customer review systems are weighted on a five-star basis. This means that customers can leave reviews and rate the company with one, two, three, four, or five stars. Five stars is the highest rating a company can receive. When comparing the reviews of various companies, be careful to read the contents of the reviews (not just the star ratings) to decipher which company is a better fit for you and your needs.

Biased HVAC Reviews

While evaluating hvac google reviews or reviews left on another platform, keep in mind that some customer reviews may have been submitted by friends, company employees’, family members, or even competitors – that all may be biased.

Also, it’s possible that the reviews you see could be spam. If you frequent popular social networking websites and apps, such as YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook, you probably understand that bots and scammers are everywhere.

Review Accuracy

Some reviews may speak to the demeanor of the service technicians, such as, them being friendly. While friendliness is definitely an important consideration, don’t forget to look for reviews speaking to the quality of service that an hvac company provides. You should look for reviews that reference responsiveness, quality, and knowledge of the service technicians and the hvac company.

Review Incentives

Google reviews, a popular customer rating system, does not allow incentivizing consumers to leave reviews. Nonetheless, sometimes it can be hard to know whether or not a review is fake or not. When evaluating Google reviews, it’s fairly easy to see if a reviewer is fake or not by checking the reviewer’s history of reviews. To do so, simply click on the reviewer’s avatar to review their profile, then you will be directed to a list of all the places that this reviewer has reviewed. This is useful because if the reviewer is reviewing other businesses in the same general location (such as, Wichita, Kansas), it is more than likely a legitimate review.  Another way to spot fake reviews is knowing that fake reviews sometimes contain generic comments or no comments at all. Of course, it is possible that a legitimate reviewer wants to quickly leave a review and only give a star-rating.

Trustworthy hvac companies will take the time to flag fake reviews so that Google is alerted that the review is fake and so that ultimately the fake review can be removed by Google.

Reviews May Not Represent a Company

It’s possible that reviews do not accurately represent a company. People tend to be much more likely to broadcast their bad experiences while not as likely to share their favorable experiences. What this means is that a company may have a couple of negative reviews, but that there are still plenty of customers who (quietly) enjoyed working with the company and just didn’t take the time to leave a review.

Review Misrepresentations

Sometimes customer reviews submitted online are not a good overall representation of the company. Because of this, it’s important to take the time to critically think about the reviews being left. For example, if a customer leaves a Google review complaining that the company did not accept a certain credit card provider, this doesn’t reflect the professionalism, knowledge, and quality of the hvac services that an hvac company provides. And, furthermore, this review does not include the customer’s viewpoint on the service that the hvac company provided (it’s possible they were just having a rough day). Also, we’ve seen negative reviews from people who meant to leave the review on a completely different company’s profile.

How To Leave A Review on Google

Leaving an hvac company a Google review is a great way to share your experience with other prospective customers. Google is the most visible review site on the internet, and a crucial part of the average prospective customers’ search when trying to find the right company to work with.

Below we’ll walk you through how to leave a Google review. There are two ways to leave a Google review. The first way is through a web browser, and the second way is to leave a review through the Google Maps app. Each process requires the reviewer have a Google account in order to leave a review.

Submit A Google Review From Your Web Browser

To submit a Google review from your web browser, follow the below steps:

  1. Start by logging into your Google account.
  2. Next, find the business’s Google Business Profile. The easiest way to find the “Google Business Profile” is by simply searching the business name and the city that the business is located in within Google’s search bar.
  3. Once you’ve found the Google Business Profile, click “Write a Review.”
  4. Then, a pop-up titled “Rate and Review” will show up on your screen. Now you get to leave the review!
  5. Rate the business from 1 to 5 stars (note: the more stars suggest a great experience), then type out a description about your experience with the company.
  6. Click the “Post” button.

Submit A Review From The Google Maps App

To submit a Google review from your Google Maps app, follow the below steps:

  1. Open up the Google Maps app on your phone.
  2. Type the name of the business that you would like to submit a review for in the search bar.
  3. Next, click on the relevant business, then click the tab labeled “Reviews.”
  4. Once you click on the “Reviews” tab, you’ll see five blank stars. Select the number of stars that you desire to submit and type out a description about your experience with the company.
  5. Click the “Post” button.

Picking a Heating and Cooling Company

In addition to a thorough review of a business’s reviews, below is a list of factors that you should also consider when picking a heating and cooling company.

  • Does the company have licensed hvac technicians and plenty of support personnel?
  • Does the company keep their hvac technicians adequately trained?
  • Does the company respond in a timely manner?
  • Has the company been in business for a couple of years?
  • Is the company insured?
  • Does the company provide warranty coverage on new air conditioners and furnaces?
  • Does the company have fair pricing?

We understand that customers may not have the time to take a deep dive into a prospective company when they need their air conditioner or heater in working order as quickly as possible. These factors are meant to help prospective customers make a more educated and calculated decision when hiring an hvac company.
